1. When is the training?

The training is a ONE WEEK LONG training bootcamp being carried out in the month of June. All sessions will start 8:00am to 17:00 DAILY for 5 days. You will need to be available for ALL 5 days to graduate and receive a certificate for the training. The Training Sessions available will be on the below dates:
  • Week 1: Monday 5th June to Friday 9th June
  • Week 2: Monday 12th June to Friday 16th June
  • Week 3: Monday 19th June to Friday 23rd June
  • Week 4: Monday 26th June to Friday 30th June
  • Week 5: Monday 3rd July to Friday 7th July (only for Kisumu, Nakuru and Mombasa)

2. Where are the training sessions being carried out?

Training will be carried out in 5 training centers across the country, find your NEAREST training center and book your session today!!! The training centers are:
  1. The Cooperative University of Kenya, Meru
  2. Kenyatta University, Nairobi, Main Campus
  3. Kenya Education Management Institute, Nairobi
  4. Rift VAlley Institute of Science and Technology (RVIST), Nakuru
  5. Tom Mboya Labour College, Kisumu
  6. Kenyatta university, Mombasa, City campus

3. How much am I required to pay for the training?

Training is FREE OF CHARGE to ALL PARTICIPANTS!!!!! You will not be required to pay ANY FEE to participate in the training. All participants will be offered the one week long training, accommodation and meals free of charge.
The only cost you will incur is your transport cost TO and FROM the venue!! NOTE that Ajira Digital will NOT PAY for your transport cost TO and FROM the venue - once you get to the venue… the training, sleeping facilities and all meals will be free free free!

4. I live very far from the training sessions, how can I participate?

ALL training participants will be offered ACCOMMODATION for the entire duration of the training. Plan to travel and check-in on the Sunday before your training starts, checking out will be on the last day of training (the Friday).

5. Who can participate in the Training?

ANY Ajira Digital Member can participate in the training, you only need to enroll on the Ajira platform and book your session TODAY!!!!. Training will be offered on a first come, first served basis…… book a session TODAY to secure your space in the training!

6. I would like to participate in the training session… how do I book a space?

To book your session, follow the instructions below: (NOTE: Training will be offered on a first come, first served basis!!! If the class you want to attend is full, you will be put on the waiting list and will be notified 1-week in advance if you are successful in getting a slot. Alternatively you can look for another class available at a different time or venue)
  1. Click on ‘Enroll NOW for Training’
  2. You will be required to LOG into your Ajira Account(if you do not have an account, you will be required to create an account)
  3. Once you are logged into the site, you will be required to complete your profile information to 100% in order to book a session.
  4. Once your profile is complete, you will now be able to book a training session
  5. Select the County and Training center that is nearest to you
  6. Click on Continue
  7. Select the CLASS that you would like to attend… **Check the Start and End dates** - we have multiple classes on the same week, you only need to book ONE class
  8. Click on BOOK
  9. Once you book, you will receive an email confirming your booking details
  10. Ensure you PRINT and carry with you a copy of the booking and your ORIGINAL National ID to gain access to the training sessions.
    1. NOTE: No user will be allowed into the training WITHOUT showing their Original National ID

7. When I book a session, I get a message that I am on the waiting list and my booking is not confirmed, what does this mean?

All bookings are on a first come, first served basis. We are also giving priority to all Ajira Digital Members who registered on the Ajira portal before the 1st of April 2017.
If you receive a message that you are on the waiting list, be patient, we will confirm to you if you are successful in getting a training slot 2 weeks before the date that you booked. We want to train all of you, but space is limited, hurry now and book a session today!

8. I booked a class BUT will not be able to attend, what do I do?

If you will not be able to attend a class that you have reserved, kindly ensure that you CANCEL your booking at least 2 days before the start of that training session.

9. I live very far from the training sessions, how can I participate?

Anyone who does not cancel their session on time and does not show up for the training will be PERMANENTLY BLACKLISTED on the Ajira site. If you are blacklisted, it means you will never be allowed to participate in ANY FUTURE Ajira Digital activities including getting online work opportunities from Ajira.

10. I would like to attend the training, but I am not available for the entire week, what should I do?

Only book to attend a training session if you are available to attend the ENTIRE session which runs from a Monday to end of day Friday.

Do NOTE that anyone who starts the classes and does not complete the entire session will be PERMANENTLY BLACKLISTED on the Ajira site. If you are blacklisted, it means you will never be allowed to participate in ANY FUTURE Ajira Digital activities including getting online work opportunities from Ajira.

11. I am enrolled for the training, What should I bring with me to the session?

The sessions will be classroom based teaching that will start 8:00am to 17:00 every day. If you have a laptop, do bring it along for the sessions as you will be able practice what is being taught at the sessions.

Unfortunately, Ajira Digital will NOT OFFER any laptops/devices for this training sessions. We will however have Internet access for all.

Do also remember to carry change of clothes and toiletries for the accommodation.
